There are always little, simple, one-day projects that can upgrade your home to make it into exactly what you want it to be. Yes, this kitchen is totally drool-worthy, but if you really break it down, it's super simple. See the upgrade? Yep, those are lamps. A little decor and some creativity go a long way...

There are lots of easy ways to make things more fun.
For example, a simple string of Christmas lights turn into a fun garland with some dyed egg cartons. This is something I just might have to do for our back yard and maybe even for the wedding.

And this is a super easy way to upgrade any dresser with some little sample cans of paint is gradually darker colors. One day projects are the absolute best don't you think?!

Same deal here. Ugly white or black fridge? Hello chalkboard paint! Bring it on in and smear it on! I love it paired with the simple white walls and the green accents to keep it looking sharp instead of messy.

Who says gardening has to be outdoors? Skip the clay pots and collect old tins to go over your sink so that you have the freshest herbs right at your fingertips!

And, of course, the easiest upgrade ever... smile. Life gets rough. Seriously. But smiling and remembering what is really important is what gets us through. Remember to be nice to everyone, smile at a stranger, and even if everything is going wrong, at least you know you are not making it worse for someone else.
Not smiling yet? I bet Conner, my silly little nephew, can change that.
Quite the ham, huh?!
