If you remember a while back in this post, I cleaned out the downstairs closet for a "new project"?

Well, it stayed clean for a few weeks........then it slowly gathered more stuff........then it was clean again... and then the whole cycle began again.
Well, good news... right now the project is in full-swing after we got a jump start on it this weekend!
This is our first "real" project in almost two months and I am sooooooo excited. Especially because it is a space just for me!
Here's what we have done so far:
First we looked at a 6ft long piece of pre-fab linoleum counter-top for $65, but Brandon needed a top too for a work-bench in the garage, so we opted for a 4x8 piece of laminated board that Lowe's ever-so-kindly cut in half for us. For only $40 total (yes, $20 each!) we both came home with new laminated counters. Now, the edge is rough, so we also picked up a little trim and with be finishing it off cleanly with that.
For now, it looks like this:

I picked up some curtains for $4.50 at Goodwill, along with a few office accessories, and I can't wait to skirt the desk so that I can hide my scrap-booking boxes below.
This will be the basis for the color scheme... stay tuned for more details in the very next post!
